“Forgive ontstond gezamenlijk improviserend na een huiskamerconcert van Joanna Chapman Smith. Joanna is een meester met woorden en teksten en op het door mij aangereikte thema ‘Sorry’ (ze is tenslotte Canadees) en de akkoorden die ik speelde kwam ze spontaan met deze tekst.
Een jaar na dato namen we het nummer op – weer midden in de nacht na een optreden van Joanna. De gelaagde vocalen die Joanna daar produceerde geven me nog altijd kippenvel als ik ze terug hoor. Niks om sorry voor te zeggen.” JeeWee Donkers

“Forgive” was jointly improvised after a living room concert by Joanna Chapman Smith. Joanna is a master with words and lyrics. She also provided the theme “Sorry” (she is, after all, Canadian), and the chords I played came spontaneously with these lyrics.

A year later, we recorded the song—again in the middle of the night after a performance by Joanna. Whenever I hear the layered vocals that Joanna produced there, I still get goosebumps, even now. Nothing to be sorry for.” JeeWee Donkers
